Remembering Our "Silent Keys"

A "Silent Key"  in Amateur Radio jargon is a ham radio operator who has passed away.  The expression comes from the Morse Code prosign "SK," which means "end of work."  This page was created and is maintained to help us remember the following hams who are no longer with us.  They were our family members; our dear friends and comrades; and our "elmers," the patient teachers of the radio arts and sciences who helped us when we were beginning our own journeys onto the air.

The OCRA "Silent Key" Net  is an annual event in which the names and callsigns of these operators are once again given on the air.  The Silent Key Net script can be found here.  The 2010 Silent Key Net is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at 1030L (10:30AM) on the W4UNC 442.150MHz repeater.
